At Can-Am Taranaki, our factory-trained technicians provide comprehensive servicing for ATVs, Side-by-Sides (SSV) and Personal Watercraft (PWC / Jet Ski). We follow manufacturer guidelines and use advanced diagnostic equipment to ensure your machine performs at its best.

ATV Servicing

Our complete ATV service includes:

• Test ride to identify any obvious performance or handling concerns
  
• Full diagnostic scan of the ECU for stored or active fault codes
  
• Reset of service reminders
  
• Engine oil and filter replacement
  
• Gearbox oil replacement
  
• Front and rear differential oil replacement
  
• Removal of wheels and lower guards as required for thorough access
  
• Inspection, cleaning or replacement of spark plugs
  
• Air filter cleaning or replacement as required
  
• CVT cover removal, inspection, cleaning and lubrication of the drive pulley bearings , the cleaning and inspection of the drive belt and other components
  
• Coolant condition and level inspection
  
• Brake system clean and inspection, including brake fluid condition and level
  
• Inspection of suspension, driveline and steering components for wear or damage
  
• Battery condition and connection check
  
• Inspection of headlights, tail lights and all electrical systems
  
• Wheel and tyre's inspection and tyre pressure adjustment
  

If any additional repairs are required, we will contact you to discuss options and obtain approval before proceeding.

Side-by-Side (SSV) Servicing

Our Side-by-Side servicing is thorough and tailored to your machine’s working demands:

• Test drive and performance assessment
  
• Diagnostic scan of ECU, fault code reporting and service reset
  
• Engine oil and filter replacement
  
• Front differential oil replacement
  
• Transaxle oil replacement
  
• Full suspension and steering inspection
  
• Greasing of all grease-able joints and A-arm pivot bushes
  
• Air filter cleaning or replacement
  
• Spark plug inspection and replacement if required
  
• CVT cover removal, drive belt and component inspection, cleaning and lubrication as per the manufacturers specifications
  
• Complete brake system inspection including brake fluid condition and level
  
• Coolant condition, pressure testing of the system and level inspection, top-up as required
  
• Battery condition and charging system output test
  
• Inspection of all lighting and electrical systems
  
• Wheel and tyre inspection and tyre pressure adjustment
  

Should we identify any additional repairs, we will liaise with you promptly and carry out approved work efficiently.

PWC / Jet Ski Servicing

Keep your time on the water stress-free with our comprehensive PWC servicing:

• Full diagnostic connection to scan for stored fault codes
  
• Recording and clearing of faults
  
• ECU software updates where available
  
• Engine oil, filter and O-ring replacement
  
• Spark plug replacement (unless otherwise requested)
  
• Carbon seal or bellows inspection (model dependent)
  
• Coolant condition and level inspection, hose clamp checks
  
• Jet unit and wear ring visual inspection
  
• Zinc anode inspection
  
• Battery inspection, charging and load testing
  
• Engine run-up on water supply to confirm correct operation
  
• Charging system output test
  
• Throttle response and idle testing
  
• Final engine oil level check
  

We also inspect your trailer, including tyre pressures, wheel bearings and lights.
